heres the issue im having with make2d, more zoomed in, essentially most assets i import from either SketchUp warehouse or BIMObjects when i use the command on these settings i get some mixed outputs, sometimes they work depending on the assets then other times i get results like this.
Can you send an object that behaves that way?
Hi @Euan_Wilkinson
This is - most likely - due to the vertices being unwelded. In your display mode, you can set a specific colour for mesh edges (aka unwelded mesh edges) so that they are easily identifiable. The solution is to run the Weld command at an appropriate angle (usually in the 80° to 85° range, but YMMW depending in the model in question), as this makes Rhino see the welded surfaces as a single surface with no edges, rather than a bunch of separate polygons with edges.

@Normand that’s what I suspect too, but at the same time it’s confusing that there is no object silhouette

Heres the file ive been using, ill try the weld stuff now, thank you both for your responses, i really appreciate it.
if its any consolation, this is something similar to what im trying to create in rhino from a project i know was done in rhino
the object is a block object. You’ll need to weld the objects inside the block definition.
Attached is the object with welded edges.
