I am attempting to make a 3D harmonograph model in rhino using grasshopper. The problem is that they are 2d “shaped” who appear 3 dimensional, hence the problem i am having. Would anyone know how to get started?

Instead of just generating x and y co-ordinates, might including the phase scaled as a z co-ordinate give you what you are seeking?
