It’s been a few years since I’ve had to create any meaninful CAD drawings and suspect it’s like riding a bike but, Rhino Make 2D is making me question my memory. I kept choosing Europe as I live in the UK which is in Europe then got a little confused.
USA & UK is 3rd angle
FR / Europe is 1st angle
It would be really helpful if you changed the Make 2D command text to USA / UK and the other as FR / EU

Maybe just named as 1st or 3rd Angle Projection.

You are right : it’s a long, long, time bug!
No one in the USA looks really understanding it.
The solution (not completely) it’s to change the right view into the left.
This makes the left view as expected but still in the wrong side of the drawing

You’re right of course, it makes perfect sense.
If the command is working within standard drawing conventions then it should be simply labelled as such without being country specific.
I think it would be of benefit to students and professionals alike 
Another option is to label ISO/USA. (First/Third), but I guess I agree that just showing the actual name of the projection and possibly the standard symbols is clearest.
