I have a report from a client MadCAM user that after they installed SR 8.10 that MadCAM stopped working. They were advised to uninstall 8.10 and reinstall 8.9 and MadCAM. After that it was working again. Anyone else using MadCAM have this problem?
The same client is also now reporting that they also have a problem with the latest Epilog laser software. Both of these started when he updated from 8.9 to 8.10. @stevebaer - did something change as far as printing goes between 8.9 and 8.10? Epilog works as a printer driver, and now when the user hits Print, the Epilog driver/software tries to start but never does (spinning wheel).
Or some kind of .NET framework incompatibility?
I am going to have them go back to 8.9 and see if that helps…
OK, well, I sent him a link to download 8.9 and test. Something happened in the transition to 8.10 that made both his MadCAM install as well as his Epilog driver stop working. The MadCAM problem was confirmed by one of the vendors. It may have to do with the .Net version being used. I’ll let you know what he reports back on the 8.9 install.
