How do I lock top menu in place? How do I get my command line beck? Read some of the suggestions but to no avail.

I have Rhino 8 on an iMac and somehow it isn’t the same as on the Windows PC.

That’s correct.
You could download the WIP for Rhino 9, in which you can make the command dialog look like the one on the Windows version.
