Mac R8 - SemiModalDialog crash

Hi there,

a SemiModal Eto dialog crashes Rhino 8 for Mac (8.5.24032.06002,2024-02-01)

Steps to repeat:

  1. From Tools > Script > Run choose the example script
  2. Wait until the dialog opens
  3. Click with the middle mouse button in a viewport

There is another focus related issue:

If the semi modal dialog is open, but has no focus, you cannot click any buttons in the Rhino UI, eg. using Zoom Extents. If you click on a button in the Rhino UI, an error sound is played.

Once you click on the semi modal dialog to give it focus, then click eg. on the Zoom Extents button, it works exactly one time and removes the focus from the dialog. This is a regression compared to Mac Rhino 7 where interaction with buttons was allowed. It also works fine in Rhino 8 (Windows).

I am not able to repeat this with an internal build. Are you running this week’s SR candidate?

Hi @dale, hmm i am running the version specified in the opening post which i see in the starting screen. If i check for updates it tells me that i am up to date.

UpToDate

but shows a different version. I got a dujour build installed if that matters. If you send me a link via pm i can test with the current version you have.
