Lunchbox Incompatibility

Hey everyone,

I tried to upload a definition to shapediver which had lunch box components. (Rtree creation and closest point using Rtrees). This did not work.

My issue is that Shapediver supports Lunchbox 2020.11.2.0. However, the only lunchbox version available for download anywhere is Lunchbox 2020.6.30.1

I tried downloading the latest version of lunchbox from

  1. Food4Rhino
  2. Rhino package manager
  3. ProvingGrounds’ website directly (the plugin creator)

Each time I carefully uninstalled my lunchbox components and reopened Rhino before installing a new version.

Would appreciate some help on this - maybe someone has the Lunchbox 2020.11.2.0 version installation files?

A piece of additional info - When replacing the Lunchbox components with native gh components, the file uploads onto ShapeDiver (but computes much slower). Therefore, I’m sure its the Lunchbox plugins that cause the issue.

We will review the latest version of Lunchbox and attempt to update the version of the plugin running on our servers. In the meanwhile, you can download a version compatible with ShapeDiver here:

Thanks for the reply Mathieu - I tried installing this but it seems to be an incomplete version of Lunchbox as many dlls and the LunchBoxML.gha are missing. Specifically Im trying to find the Rtree components from Lunchbox, which are missing in this standalone .gha.

My bad, I replaced the link above with an archive containing all dependencies. Let me know if that works.

Thanks for that! I gave it a try with this. I now get an error for Lunchbox again as shown in the image. Ive made sure as before to check that I have only the version of Lunchbox you provided, in my script.

My apologies, I had missed this issue. The machine learning components of Lunchbox are not yet supported on ShapeDiver, as they pose compatibility issues with our cloud solvers.
