Hi! Does someone knows why the lunchbox plugin can’t recognize my surface? I supposed it was a common problem, but I have searched for it here and I haven’t found anything close to this. (I can see this problem even when I’m using isotrim to divide a surface, it always takes a big retangle arround my surface)

If you can help me, thank you!

Hi - That’s a frequently asked question. See, for example, this post and links.

> You’d better understand about the “Trimmed Surface” first. If you trim a single untrimmed surface, “Trimmed surface” still remember it’s underlying original untrimmed surface. That’s the reason why you got the panels outside your trimming boundary when you are using Isotrim. There are numerous topics about that and it’s a good idea to search and study the base theory.

Working with trimmed surfaces takes another level of organization. Here is a thread that covers trims and how to deal with panels along the trim edges:

> Using the original surfaces. Grasshopper does a bit of a cleanup on the Brep. Horizontals are sections with planes. Verticals made with vertical lines from a section across the middle. Using PanelingTools to create the Grid and the grid cells. Now it is an ordered set of grid cells. Here is the definition so far: [Equal Grid Across Surfaces Panelingtools.gh](https://discourse.mcneel.com/uploads/short-url/kmgiYxi8Sfx8gWHZ6Vw4B8vRCpW.gh) (60.2 KB)
