Hi all,
I was working in Vray when I suddenly lost all my personal settings, aliases, display modes etc. The strange thing is, my settings file in file:///C:/Users/user/AppData/Roaming/McNeel/Rhinoceros/7.0/settings/settings-Scheme__Default.xml still displays all my old customizations correctly, so I’m not sure how to get rhino to re-read this file. I’ve tried deleting and replacing it, but that didn’t seem to do anything.
Any ideas?

What other files are in
C:/Users/user/AppData/Roaming/McNeel/Rhinoceros/7.0/settings/

I have settings and window positions. No crash, although I believe it happened while I was rendering or editing a material with Vray.
Hi Susan - I am not sure what to check other than the settings file…I assume you’ve restarted Rhino at least once, correct?

Oh, I figured it out - I was looking in my old user profile! My current profile had a copy of settings with defaults only. Sorry for my confusion. Fortunately that old profile was great to have as a backup.
Still not sure why that happened in the first place, but I’m good to go now. Probably best practice to keep a copy of the settings file around.
