Loss of pictures in layout

after inserting a few pictures in a layout some pictures do not display after going from a modeling tab back to the layout. Using selpicture highlights the surfaces but I have to reload the pictures. (proving they are still in the drawing.) Layers are set to display in the layout views. Sometimes this problem beings when changing layer-states

if this is a video card memory problem. (images are small) is there a way to monitor / trouble shoot?

thanks .

Hi Harry -

That’s not something that I can reproduce in a quick test here.
Please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and copy-paste the result here.

Thanks, Harry.
That looks like it should work.
Can you post a 3dm file with a picture in a layout that doesn’t show?
-wim

Perhaps it’s part of the issue but all these files exceed the 20mb upload limit. Is there another way to address this problem?

thanks

you can upload files for tech support using Rhino - Upload to Support . Make sure to copy a link to this discussion topic to the comments section of the uploader. @wim (and others from tech support) will be able to see the upload once it has been completed.

Also, maybe recording your screen where you show your predicament may help understanding what is going on. The video you could upload in the same way as your 3dm file.

I did upload the .3dm file. Did anyone receive it?

Thanks for the support

Hi Harry -

I see that some surfaces in that file are just blank. They have a material assigned but there is no texture.

I’m trying to reproduce the issue but no luck so far.
How do you insert those pictures?

How do you reload those pictures?

Do you also run into this when you create a new file from a factory-default template, create 3 or so layouts and put a few pictures on those?
