Lose VRAY texture mapping with FBX export


I am trying to export my Rhino model to 3ds max as .fbx file. But then the VRAY texture maps don’t get exported as well. So the bumps, reflection and refraction dissapear.

Anyone familiar with this, or has an alternative method? Thanks in advance!

This looks like a material conversion limitation. I believe FBX also only allows saving of the materials as Lambert or Phong so that conversion from the VRAY material may also be where the maps get lost. I bet you’ll need to reassign the bump map textures manually.
