Looking for ideas on how to recreate the anomaly from Arcane in GH

Hi,
for a university project, I’m looking for cool ideas for a parametric sphere-like shape, and I came across the anomaly from the series Arcane.
Unfortunately, I don’t have enough experience with Grasshopper to recreate such a shape, but maybe one of you can help me come up with some ideas and approaches for replicating the anomaly. :smiley:

It seems like the base of the anomaly consists of some kind of Voronoi pattern, but I’m unsure how to map such a Voronoi pattern onto a sphere while achieving the same look.

I’d also like to expand the shape of the anomaly a bit. For example, the sphere could be replaced with an icosahedron, which could then be transformed into a more organic shape using mesh relaxation. This would break up the spherical form slightly with the resulting peaks.

I hope you can help me out with this and maybe provide some ideas I can build upon. :smiley:
