Login Error?

Hi,

I was trying to help a colleague install a Rhino plugin and we ran into a License error that I had not seen before, and I am not sure of the solution - I wonder if anyone can please advise?

On Windows OS, we attempted to run Rhino ‘As Administrator’ (right click on the icon,…) to properly install the plugin, and received the following error:

Login error (The requested operation cannot be completed. The computer must be trusted for delegation and the current user account must be configured to allow delegation. ). Please go back to Rhino.

Can anyone explain what that error means, and what the correct steps to resolve this would be?

The goal is to run Rhino on the computer ‘As Administrator’.

thank you!

Hi Ed -

I’m not seeing that here. Where is that error displayed? It sounds like a Windows configuration that your IT department has implemented…

Hey @wim1 , thanks for taking a look. Agreed: on my system it (starting as admin) works as expected. This error was raised by the Rhino website license login on this system only? You haven’t seen this before? (its certainly new to me)

Hi Ed -

This is new to the developers of the login system as well. Rhino gets the credentials from accounts.rhino3d.com but appears to not be able to save them on the device because of some encryption issue on Windows.
If you search on Google for the error, you’ll see that different applications run into the same problem with an identical error message, e.g., Error “The computer must be trusted for delegation and the current user account must be configured to allow delegation.” when running the CertificateRefresh.exe for Trados GroupShare
This is something that needs to be dealt with on that machine.

ah - interesting. Ok thanks!
