Hi, I would like to know if you can numerically x,y,z change the location of a vertex or better more than one vertex location of a Sub D. In Alias you can pick many control points and use the information window to show all the points and change there x,y,z position.
I would also like to know if I can lock a vertex or many vertex of a Sub D. also if I am in boxed mode do my vertex locations stay in the same location if I move the one next to it, in smooth mode the surrounding control point seem to be affected.
you change the location numerically with gumball, select your points then single click the gumball arrow that corresponds with your desired relocation and enter a numerical value.
Locking a vert does not seem to be working correctly in the wip-
Box mode affects the control polygon and yes the verts can be moved individually
Smooth mode (with surface points enabled) affects the surface points which has a different effect and depending on your topology can move surrounding points.
