Links open in new tab/window please

The title says it. I hate clicking on a link in a post and having it open in the same tab that the forum was in.
If there are multiple links and they open in different tabs, then I can go back and forth between them.
If a link opens in the same tab, I can’t check the post against the link.
I know I can right click and choose “open in a new tab” but I can’t think of any reason why I would ever want it to open in the same tab.

In your preferences, you can check “Open all external links in a new tab” to get this.

Excellent. I would suggest that that should be the default.

I have my browser set up to see a middle-mouse button click as “open link in new tab” no matter what the page code says to do. It’s very handy to have across the entire internet.

Not me! I like it how it is; but I’m using the Suggested Topics as my primary navigation (which works great, IMO).

Because those links are internal, they will open in the same tab with “Open all external links in a new tab” checked, as you are currently enjoying it.

Doh, I misunderstood. Yeah, OK, I agree totally. I’ve turned on the “open all external links in a new tab” setting.
