Linking 3dm in Revit 2022 only brings surfaces and no curves/lines?

Hi - I am trying to link a Rhino 3dm file into Revit 2022 but it only seems to bring over surface geometry, no curves. Is there something I’m doing wrong or is this a limit on this Revit functionality?

Thanks

The curves will come in as a direct shape family, which probably isn’t what you are looking for.

Optimally you could use Rhino.Inside.Revit to bring in your curves as Model lines or Detail lines.

Revit also links .3dm files as well.

Hi - thanks. Yes I am linking 3dm per Autodesk’s instructions but it excludes Rhino curves/lines altogether with this functionality. The lines simply do not come through in a 3dm link in Revit (but surfaces work fine). Yes, I can use Rhino.Inside but there are significant challenges wrt coordinate system alignments, origin and Revit base points, scale units, etc. which I have not been able to solve. Rhino.Inside should be the solution but my firm has not adopted it widely and is not particularly grasshopper savvy yet to refine workfloows. The only quick solution I’ve found is linking .dwg files which bring in lines with no problem, but it seems silly to export to dwg only to link that to Revit when Revit supposedly now supports a direct link of 3dm files with no need for autocad conversion.
