I have been struggling with something that is somewhat counterintuitive in Rhino. It is the line types. I noticed that the actual MM used in the options tab are shown differently in the model space. In order to match them I used the 36-scale option in the LTS, however, when you change the actual line type scale it scales in the model space and in the print layout space.
It seems odd and clunky & I have been trying to balance them out in the many years I have been drafting and using Rhino for years, but I can never get this to balance between, model space, view space and the actual printing of it.
Also, although this functions, more or less, we really need line types, like electrical, plumbing, & civil types.
See attached some images that show the different discrepancies. Maybe one of you have found an easier way to handle this.
This is a comprehensive explanation of the situation, and I have been fiddling with, I guess my biggest issue is what people use as the default linotype scale. I read somewhere there is a global line type scale, but I couldn’t find it.
The red circle is global model space scaling for linetypes.
If the blue circle option is activated, the scale is applied to layout/printing too.
At least that is my understanding of it. I must admit I usually don’t care about linetypes on model scape only on layout, so I usually don’t mess with scaling it.
