I’ve steered around most the bugs I’m encountered but this one seems to be check mate. The lines shown are supposed to be the same scale. But they aren’t.
And there’s no way around it (that I know of). For a second I thought why don’t I just override the linetype in detail view and make different line types for each scale… but you can’t do that unfortunately (feature request: Linetype overrides in details?)
To be honest I think I need the tracking list for everything wrong with layouts/printing. I was going to post about the line thickness issues because I finally figured it out… well probably part of it. Bug testing is kind of line an onion it’s just one layer after another after another. There’s just too much going on all at once.
The thing is that I need to know what’s on deck to be fixed because it’s both going to affect how I set up this template and also dictate what’s worth investing time into and what isn’t.
These are just the same objects in two different detail views.
I’ve also spent a very generous amount of time digging through YouTrack to see what’s going on with this and it’s not clear whether it’s being dealt with or not.
The reason I’ve been posting about this so much is because I’m setting up my template. It’s A LOT of work. If you’re just leaving things as is I can work around it. If I get a service update then I have to spend hours removing all my work-around from the template (or worse yet have other’s doing that same) that would kind of suck.
This is the file I should have attached. It looks like I accidentally just attached that same file from (way) above twice - I’ll double-check this one after posting. Apologies for the confusion!! But keep in mind I’ve been digging hard at this and probably burnt out pretty bad.
I think the issues are being tracked correctly because once they’re broken down to the basic issue (it’s not so easy now that there are so many settings) the problem is pretty clear. It definitely would have helped me having this sooner just so I knew why my lines weren’t looking right.
Once everything’s sorted the drawings are going to look pretty awesome. Even if half the stuff gets fixed I could probably work around the other half. I appreciate your guys’ hard work and I can see the level of difficulty given there are so many new settings, one affecting another.
