Linetype scale within a block

Hi community!
I am struggling with blocks and linetypes.

Is there some setting within the block that I am missing here? When I scale the block, the whole line type scales with it. I am after the appearance as per normal object, meaning you scale the object only, not the line type. Is this a bug? When I enter the block, everything appears ok…

Seems to be fixed in V8.

This is fixed only in v8. A lot of line type code is being rewritten to handle cases like this.

I assume there is no plan for fixing it in R7 since it sounds like a deep code clean up? So it is better not to work with 2D blocks until R8 is out there I guess
