Hi,
I was wondering if there was a way to set the linetype for the dimension extension line.
My colleagues and I have been fixing the extension line and then drawing our own line and setting the linetype to dotted. but it is very tedious and doesn’t have the same history as the dimension. So, the extension lines don’t update in the layout space when the geometry changes in the model.
If this is not possible, will it be possible in Rhino 8?

It looks like dimensions partly support linetypes in the current WIP - but not the way that you want…

dimension line is 99,9999% times continouous whereas extension line is often desired to be different. i think considering use cases probsbility wip should just switch which line the linetype controls and that would be the best solution right away

It was implemented this way because users wanted linetypes for their leader objects.
We have a request for more control on our list as RH-17523 More Control For Extension and Dimension Line Appearance

Would love this to be a new feature for 8 though.
in this case just simple options in annotation styles would suffice. linetype affects dimension line true false, linetype affects extension line true false.
