Line widths/ section line scale somehow broken after update?

Hey,

After the update this morning, my line widths when sectioning via clipping plane have gone hay wire. This is preeetty annoying as I had everything set up perfectly and now I have to go through the process of trying to get the scale right on both the full size and the scaled views…

For reference, I have the object line widths at 0.5 - the section style is then at scale 3.

before the update:

after the update:

As you can see, without doing anything the line is way too thick in the scaled, however in the full size it remains the same. I can’t scale it down again because then the full size will be too thin… and so on and so on.

Is there a fix for this please? or can I be sent a link to the previous version of Rhino to reinstall?

the linetype i am using:

Help!

this is also how it’s looking in print display, completely off when before it showed it as the real weight

I’ve managed to fix the print display issue by switching all my line type to pixels… however this doesnt fix my problem. I have had to reduce the section line scale to 1, the now pixel line width is 1. This allows me to see the lines clearly in the scaled view, however 1:1 is still way too thin…

This is strange as I had the problem before where the line widths werent working with scaled and full size and and i was advised to switch the line type to milimeters, which worked. Now I am having to switch back and it seems there’s no way now to balance them at all?

Help is still needed

A friend has sent me an older version (from sept 2025) so I have managed to regain my desired line widths for the sections. However would love to know why the update caused this, if anyone else is experiencing this, and if it’s fixable so I can update in the future?

Hi Katie -

Could you please post or upload the file in the state with linetypes still in millimeter?
If you upload to us, please put a link to this thread in the comments field on that upload page.
