However even with the gumball off, if you check the command line after drag selecting over its location you will see that the control point was added to the selection.
I guess this lack of visibility could easily be missed if fat lines are used by few people. I’ve added a “bug” tag to the thread title.
Hi,
I need to see the point selected, rather than have faith that its selected,
when it was visible then it vanished, makes one believe its gone, when drag highlighting the end and satill nothing shows visually, my brain says its gone for sure.
This is not CAD .
In V5 its always visible, I cant work this way if V8 does that.
We should be able to use line thicknesses and see points, as we can in V5.
So I am exiting V8, VERY DISAPPOINTED . Need basics to be there, to work, to give confidence.
That this doesnt give positive feedback visually is JUST WRONG. @dale
@ boffins in McNeel Need them visible, so back to V5 I go.
I think that goes without saying for CAD users.
If I am selecting points to run a circle through them, gumball doesnt help, unless one can have many gumballs at one.
I dont use Gumball anyway (yes shock horror ) just sometimes.
I try to use V8 and fall at first hurdle. I HAVE TO SEE THESE VISUALLY ALWAYS.
Steve
Hi Japhy,
Thats what I had done, select line, click the PointsOn tool, command line says PointsOn.
zoom in and the point has vanished, drag select and nothing gets selected, nothing goes yellow showing its selected. Line weight thicker and printPreview on so as to differentiate that line.
Repeat this in V5 and at any zoom its always visible and goes yellow when drag selection box around it.
