Line colours

Hello,

I was wondering if someone could help. The colours in the tool assignment section of the printer do not match the colours in my project, so when I print, the plotter does not read some of the lines.

How can I set the same colours in the printer settings so that it can communicate with the plotter correctly?

Thank you in advance.
Melissa

Hi, @melissa6. I know it’s been a while, but has this been resolved for you?

One possible answer, if this is about printing exact colors, is there’s an option in the Print dialog box called Output Color that is set to Print Color by default. Have you tried changing this to Display Color and comparing the output?

If this is more of a fabrication issue, then you can write down the RGB or Hex values in the plotter’s “tool assignment” section and change the layer colors in your drawing/model to match.

Another possibility is some laser cutters only like small line widths for vector cutting. You can select your linework and in the Properties panel set the Print Width to something smaller like 0.001 (or hairline). Find the value your printer driver/machine software wants from Rhino.

Hope that helps!
