As a first year student i was required to buy rhino in order to complete given assignments. In sept I started my free 90 day trial and yesterday I decided to pay for the student license since it was hitting that 90-day mark. I logged in with my student school email and completed the information about my part, prove you’re a student and payment part.I was sent an email right after saying my order was being processed. I can not access my rhino now because it wants a license key, which I don’t have and it’s been hours since I paid (around 11 pm last night-11 am now). I really need to fix this issue because finals are do and I need to progress my work. I haven’t used the email before because 1-freshman 2-i’ve never used nor owned rhino before this school year. Other people got to use rhino a few hours after paying so idk what is wrong with mine. I am hoping my work does not get deleted.
Why would your work get deleted? There is no cloud storage with Rhino.
Handling licensing is not automated and they’re on Seattle time, it’ll probably come through soon, you can contact sales@mcneel.com for support.
@Sara_Collaku hit us up at tech@mcneel.com we’ll get you sorted asap
or call sales at 206-545-7000 for even faster help.
A newbie might misconstrue this. Rhino is able to store in the cloud, but only if you want to, in YOUR cloud storage.
My bigger concern is, if someone thinks Rhino is an iPad app where your data is just magically saved someplace…where is it?
Sigh back in my day we had to bring our files home on floppies! Then on Zip disks that were virtually guaranteed to fail. Or they’d save stuff in the Desktop folder of their school network Windows account that would get nuked on a regular basis.
I hear you. Legitimate point of view. I remember those days well.
