Layout printing different orientation

Hello,
Is it possible to print to one PDF layouts that are a mix of portrait & landscape?
Rhino 7 SR4 2021-3-19 (Rhino 7, 7.4.21078.01001
thanks,
Glenn

Hi Gardiner,
No, mixing the orientations of sheets with the Print command not support in Rhino 6 or 7.
It is on the wish list.

One option is to print ranges or similar orientations to PDF’s like Project_landscape.pdf and Project _protrait.pdf. Then use your Adobe PDF or Foxit PDF program to assemble and arrange these sheets into one combined PDF.

You can also try Export to PDF or SaveAS.

Hope this helps.
Sincerely,

Hi @gardiner.glenn -

If you use the SaveAs command, you can save mixed orientation layouts to the PDF format.

@wim
THANK YOU!!!
That works great, I keep forgetting about the all powerful SaveAs command.
A few interesting discoveries:
if a layer is displayed but locked in model mode, SaveAs won’t print it from layout mode.
There are some minor but noticeable weight/color differences between Layout print and Layout SaveAs PDF.
And finally if you change the order of the layout tabs (move before/after) SaveAs PDF prints them in the original order (when the Rhino file was first opened). Saving the Rhino file, exiting Rhino, restart Rhino, opening file, then SaveAs PDF prints them in the desired order.
Thanks again,
Glenn
