For layouts it would be nice to be able to lock the scale of a detail.
This would make it easier to position a drawing inside a layout without accidentally changing the scale.
Hi @mortenengel - you can already do this in Rhino. In Layout space > select the Detail > click on the Detail icon in the Object Properties Panel > you should be able to set the Scale and check the “Lock” checkbox. Is this what you’re looking for?
Hi @Vanessa - I wanted to be able to lock the scale and still move my view around in the layout.
So two checkboxes is what i need

That would be handy, but there is a way to adjusting the detail while having the scale locked. Select the detail view and press F10 (show control points), selecting those points will let you move the boundary without affecting the scale. Actually this is the way many softwares, including Archicad, do this.
