Layer name - moving cursor with keyboard arrows not working

Windows Rhino 8 - in the layer panel, there is a glitch that does not allow me to move the cursor location using the keyboard arrows to navigate forward and back of the layer name when trying to change a layer name. Instead it jumps out of the name text and starts navigating the layers themselves. I do this quite often so it’s a bit of an issue.

Hello- As far as I can see this works in the current builds here. That is, left and right arrow keys navigate within the test I am editing, up and dowm jumps to the layer level and moves through those.

I have the same problem. When editing my layer names in the new Rhino 8 I cannot use my left arrow key to move my cursor backwards in the text. When I do so it navigates away from the layer name I wanted to edit.
Which is unfortunate because when I use the F2 shortcut to edit names the cursor lands at the end of the layer name, forcing me to use my mouse when I didn’t have to make the extra clicks before.
I would like to be able to use my left and right buttons to move the cursor in the text.

Hi Justin -

That seems to work fine here. Please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and copy-paste the result here.

Editing the name of a child layer, left arrow jumps to the parent layer.
