Layer handling in Rhino,

Hi,

I would like to create some layouts for building levels and I have not found a right solution yet, it seems I have to copy all levels separately in 2D and print it.
Otherwise another solution is to make a layer tree groups and separately use walls, slabs, dimension etc.: on each unique Layout.

Level1
Walls
Slabs
Dimensions
etc.
Level2
Walls
Slabs
Dimensions
etc.

But this way it would be several (1000+) layer but not sure if it is healthy for the file or not.

Hm, anyone has got a better solution? Issue also obscure in Visualarq too.

cheers,

Hi onrender,

I’m not fully understanding what you’d need to do but thought I’d mention the commands HideLayersInDetail and ShowLayersInDetail. Do these help limit what you’d print efficiently for each level?

Thanks Brian,

Thanks,

Yes, “Hide layers in Details” can definitely solve the problem, you are right, we already discussed in an other topic.
