Hi!
Having a real issue here, the latest update of Rhino stays stuck on the ‘Getting license from license manager’ with the revolving wheel. I’ve tried deleting everything including Enscape and other plugins, clearing out all the folders I can find, uninstalling, re-installing, updating, quitting, restarting… and it is still stuck on “getting license manager” Any help??
Thanks!

Hi Thomas, with enscape involved it is most likely they permissions issues (for a period they were creating folders improperly)
Here are several ways to resolve. Option 3 typically works for me, but Solution 4 might be needed as well.
https://wiki.mcneel.com/rhino/mac/home/rhinomacwontstart
mkdir -p ~/.config/.mono/keypairs
chmod -R 700 ~/.config/.mono/keypairs
Hi,
Thanks for this. After trying option 1, terminal said:
chown: ~/Library/Application\ Support/McNeel/Rhinoceros/: No such file or directory
chmod: ~/Library/Application\ Support/McNeel/Rhinoceros/: No such file or directory
Option 2 didnt seem to do anything
Option 3 and 4 also didnt work, if anything it seems worse as there are more"hangs" happening in much quicker succession…
I have totally removed enscape and Im not fussed about getting it back at this point. Anything else I can try??
Thanks!

Found a great solve thanks to the Rhino tech chat - disable antivirus software as it can block Rhino from starting. Worked instantly, YAY!
Thanks for the help though Japhy, much appreciated!
