Land Design causing problem in Rhino 8 & Grasshopper

Hi-

I am having issue with Land Design in Rhino 8 causing the Grasshopper and Rhino not working. I have repaired the Rhino with latest update and re-install Visualarq and Land Design. the new installation and update didn’t help to fix the issue. When both VisualARQ and Land Design enabled the following problem occurs:

  • VisualARQ menu in grasshopper shows partially (see attached image).
  • Land Design tab does not show up in Grasshopper.
  • Grasshopper components not functioning and do not display the geometry in rhino.
  • After I close the Grasshopper. nothing in rhino works and I have to shut down rhino manually via task manger in window.
  • When I disable the Land Design Plugin, problem goes away and everything works fine.
    I appreciate any help!

Hi @sr1365 which exact Rhino 8, VisualARQ and Lands Design versions do you have installed?
Try to uninstall VisualARQ and Lands Design and resinstall them again. Also, when Rhino opens, make sure VisualARQ and Lands Design load before opening Grasshopper.

Hi Francesc, I have latest version of rhino

Rhino: Version 8 SR19 (8.19.25132.1001, 2025-05-12)
VARQ: version 3.3.1.19758
Lands: version 6.2.1.10273

I have done uninstall and re-install of both VARQ and Lands Design twice and problem still exist. VARQ is ok. Lands Design causing the problem. I am also getting this error message in rhino (see attached image)

Hi @sr1365 there are newer versions of Rhino, Lands Design, and VisualARQ.
Try to update them all, and see if the problem persists:
