Job Opening for Programming and Research

Do you have good programming skills? If so, there’s a job possibility for you in Singapore:

The Advanced Architecture Laboratory at Singapore University of Technology and Design is looking for a researcher. The researcher will support software development in Grasshopper for an exciting project that combines architectural design and mathematical optimization. The project aims at the creation of an optimization tool for architectural designers that is more intuitive and efficient than existing ones. This research will be documented in several publications.

The position entails development of GUIs, visualization tools, and interfaces between existing software components. Depending on the skills and interests of the candidate, a greater involvement with other components of the project (such as benchmarking, user testing, and publications) is possible.

The starting date is as soon as possible, with details available upon request.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science and related disciplines or in (architectural) design with proven programming skills. Masters degree preferred.

Knowledge of C# or another .NET language and Python is required. Familiarity with Rhino, especially with development in RhinoScript, the RhinoCommon SDK, and the Grasshopper SDK is not necessary but considered an important asset.
