Issues exporting object from Rhino to Sketchup

I purchased a model of a cactus that I intend to use in a rendered scene using V-Ray for Sketchup. The source I purchased the cactus from does not offer a .skp file, but it does offer an OBJ w/ a MTL file.

I imported the OBJ file into Rhino, and it recognized the MTL file as well an applied the textures correctly. I then attempted to export this as an SKP file, but when I open the resulting SKP file in SU, the textures are gone. I have all the correct settings in Rhino to allow it to export textures.

The model of the cactus is pretty complex, and I’m wondering if Rhino has a limit to the ‘amount’ of textures it can export to a skp. Below is rendered perspective view in Rhino…everything looks good here!

Hello - does the texture - image - end up in the same folder as the skp file?

Hi,

Yes, the texture-image is in the same folder as the exported skp file.

OK - here, on a simple example, it all seems to work - can you post the file with your object? make sure to save the textures with the file.
