When a surface/surfaces have been split and you want to add only some of the split results in separate blocks. Rhino’s Block command adds them all in the same block. All results of the split.
I hope I managed to explain this properly.
EDIT:
I split with a script. I’ll check perhaps the issue is somewhere there.
When I simply split surfaces and create block interactively the issue cannot be reproduced.
