How can I change the category of my posts? Each time I choose the category “Grasshopper”, the forum sends my posts to “Grasshopper MAC.”
Hi helvetosaurus,
You changed the category of my post without explain me how to do this? lol
You should be able to do this for your own posts… If you don’t see that pencil icon in your own posted topic titles, let us know.
A few of us (outside of McNeel) have the permissions to do this with other people’s posts (only the title and category).
When posting a new issue, do you see this category?
I see the categories where I create the post, but if I choose “Grasshopper,” the post will be automatically posted to the “Grasshopper Mac” category. After making it, I can’t find the option to change the category.
Hi dale,
You’re the second person to change the category of my post without replying to my question about how to do it. Don’t have your answer?
Thanks,
Roy
So, you don’t have the pencil icon (circled in the image above) to the right of your post title?
Hi Roy -
I think you are mixing “category” and “tag”.
You only have 3 threads that you posted in the “Grasshopper → GH for Mac” category:
The “mac” or “windows” tag is automatically added by the system and is based on the OS that the browser that you are using is running on.
-wim
All the way at the top of the thread as in the image above… Not in the message itself. Only available when you yourself have created the topic.
??? And what about eg: the offline Windows Rhino user who uses a Mac to browse the web or vice-versa?
Is that where the pencil icon that Mitch mentioned comes in: to force the automatic tag to the desired state? Or is the post stuck with the improper tag?
