Issue exporting exactflat surfaces to illustrator as dxf file

I have been using the ExactFlat plugin to flatten 3D surfaces and export them as 2D shapes to illustrator. It has been working seamlessly all year, flattening, re-flattening, and springing and then from the tools window exporting flattened pieces to a DXF. However, all of the sudden when I go to open my DXF files, illustrator is telling me they are an unknown file format. I feel like it is a problem on rhino or exactflat’s end since exporting selected as a dxf will open in illustrator, just as a 2D mesh instead of a solid 2D shape. Has anyone experienced this or know of a possible solution?

I am also having the same issue with autocad.
I guess it causes from block names
