Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

I wanted to change the functions assigned to some of the F keys. My procedure was as follows.

1. Tools > options > Keyboard.

2. select an F key, e.g. “F5” and click “Edit”

3. I then get a window saying “Shortcut is available” However, my options are Ok or Cancel. “Edit Existing” is grayed out.

I would have thought that I would be able to select Edit Existing, and then be able to edit the command corresponding to the F5 shortcut.

The only way to change the existing command is to delete the shortcut and remake it through “New” with the new command. This is not a major hassle, just some more clicks, But what is the Edit Existing button for?

this seems like a UI bug to me, but normally, you simply click the new button, then press F5. It then shows the key is in use and then you can click the “Edit Existing”
If you already selected F5 in the list to edit it, then you can just as well edit the macro next it already.
