I want to find a specific block by typing the first letter of its name in Block Manager, to edit it’s name, and I get ‘no can do’ sound when typing a letter. I have to scroll my entire list of blocks looking for the name… Behavior works as expected in ‘Insert’ menu.

Is there any reason why Block Manager can't be cycled by typing a letter as 'Insert' menu?
