Is there a way to match meshes to an specific outline?

Hey guys, this would enhance my repetitive workflow, since the print patterns are slightly different from the mesh geometry I’m looking for a way to match the overall mesh to that outline (small deviation).

Found this thread thanks post history in my profile @clement was getting his hands on this with a script

But if there is a automatic way to take all verts into account (average vertices while matching to outline) would be awesome.
As you see the PullGripsToCurve-script would only move the outer verts and would cause texture distortions which I would have to solve manually.

Tried to create a plane from the bigger outline and remesh and then apply custom mapping. Seems to work :wink:

Just to make clear that ‘Ray’ projection of custom mapping works best!
