Testflight is what we use to provide WIP versions of iRhino with new features that are being worked on before they are introduced into the official iRhino app.

iRhino3D WIP (8.0.22347 - Dec 13) is now available via Testflight

Summary:

New version of iRhino3D WIP introduces Room Scan feature which allows you to create a 3D model of an interior space using LiDAR sensor of your iPhone or iPad. You can also save the result in a 3DM file. This version also fixes a couple of bugs seen of older devices.

Bugs Fixed:

  • USDZ import: Fixed transform of objects imported (RV-661)
  • Radio sample crash due to OpenGL code (RV-676)
  • Startup in non-english language crash fixed.
  • Fixed 4view viewport arrangement (RV-663)
  • Fixed curve display issue.

Enhancements:

  • UI: Re-organize settings panel
  • UI: Detect if LiDAR sensor is available on device (RV-679)

Features Added:

  • File Save: Added feature to allow saving of 3dm files.
  • Room Scan: Using Apple’s Roomplan to generate 3D model of interior space.

We’re trying something new with Testflight builds of iRhino3D

Moving forward, WIP releases of iRhino3D via Testflight contain some features that are not completely finished. These features have known and unknown limitations and may make iRhino3D WIP less stable, but in the spirit of being open about our development I think it’s important to share them with the community as early as possible to get feedback.
