Invalid Worksession

I received a few .RWS files from an associated architect and I am not able to open them. I get the error:
Invalid Worksession

It’s possible these files were created with a different Version #? I am running version
Version 5 SR11 64-bit
(5.11.50226.17195, 2/26/2015)
Is there a way I can find out which version the RWS files were created in?

The files are also very large: 200 megs?

Is your .rws file also larger than expected?
It sounds a bit like that file was renamed from .3dm to .rws…
If you can post the file that you are having issues with, we can take a closer look.

Thanks Wim, the file size is indeed too big- unsure if its been renamed as I’m taking over a different workflow- as it is too big im unable to post the file on this channel unfortunately, do wetransfer links work?

To make a file public here, that works, yes. If you need that to remain private, you can upload it from Rhino Accounts. In that case, make sure to copy a link to this thread in the comments field.
