I am trying to intersect a panel grid with columns but can’t seem to get it to work perfectly, some columns don’t intersect. Any ideas?
script:
connecting grid to panel.gh (456.9 KB)

Too bad you didn’t internalize your geometry after Diamond Panels Lunchbox:
im not sure i understand, if the user has Lunchbox installed should it not work?
Yes, but for those who don’t have Lunchbox (like me), it doesn’t work. Lunchbox is irrelevant to the main issue of your question.
By the way, what kind of intersections do you expect?
i see your point, but in my case lunchbox provides an easy solution to convert the grids into panels afterward with less scripting hence why I am looking for a solution with lunchbox. However if you have another method i am interested too:)
My point is that if you internalized the surface fragments after Lunchbox, more people could help with the intersections. What kind of intersections do you expect?
for the intersections im just looking for the grid of the panels to connect with the collumns. atm it seems like the intersection only happens for every other panel. I tried changing the grid with the seperation of the collumns (which are 8m) but cant seem to get it to fit
ok, i updated the script with an internalized grid
But the columns are not aligned with the “Diamond Panels” at all, the intersections are random.
These are my own “Diamond Panels”, not yours from Lunchbox.
The columns often intersect with more than one panel.
Good luck.
thats strange, they should be:
I have update the script again:
connecting grid to panel.gh (456.9 KB)
Hi @serabouch ,
While this is not the most performant solution, this should work for your intersections and leave you with the panels.

I hope that helps for now!
