Installation of 8.6.24086.11001, 2024-03-26 - weird error messages

On installing the latest 8.6 SRC (downloaded, not automatic), I got the following popup messages during the install:

Two of these:

And one each of these in English, French, Italian and German (which correspond to the different language schemes I have installed):

Rhino seems to open and run OK in any case…

I got the same error also but anyway it’s working

Same in here, but seems to have no impact on the functionality.

Below is what I saw and my SystemInfo.

I strongly suspect there are typos in the installer script and that these should read ‘AUMID’, not ‘AMUID’.

(In which case, they are part of getting Rhino 7, 8 etc to associate with the correct icon in the taskbar - hooray! - and won’t impact the running of the Rhino program.)

Regards
Jeremy

I got the same errors too and Rhino also seems to be working fine.

Thanks, this is logged as RH-81233 Shortcut error on install

Should have a fix out in the next RC.

I got the same error.

RH-81899 is fixed in Rhino 8 Service Release 8 Release Candidate
