Install button greyed out

I just sent a grasshopper script to a potential client, and they just notified me that the install button is greyed out. What could be the reason and solution for this?

Hi @Timo_Harboe_Nielsen,

I believe these Grasshopper plug-ins are not available from Rhino’s Package Manager. You’ll need to download and install them yourself - most are probably available on Food4Rhino.

I only download from package manager so that can’t be the case. And normally the button would still show, but the install would fail in case they aren’t available. Never seen it greyed out. Could it be a rights problem?

Hi @Timo_Harboe_Nielsen,

Two of the three plug-ins are packages:

C:\Program Files\Rhino 8\System>yak search PdfPlus
PdfPlus (2.1.0)

C:\Program Files\Rhino 8\System>yak search DKUI.Components

C:\Program Files\Rhino 8\System>yak search Telepathy
Telepathy (1.0.1)

@will - what are the rules for the download button being disabled?

Hey Timo! The “Download and Install” button is disabled if Rhino is installed with the setting that prevents it from accessing the internet (DISABLE_INTERNET_ACCESS=1).

For the plug-ins available via the package manager, you can get the download URLs from the package server’s HTTP API – look for the https://files.mcneel.com/yak/packages/ URLs. The packages can then be installed by dragging and dropping the .yak files onto Rhino (and restarting Rhino if Grasshopper is already loaded).

You guys are awesome! Thanks for the fast help.
