Inflated membrane

Hello

I have a trimmed surface , i would like to create an “inflated” ballooned version of this surface by locking position of the naked edges and by applying an adjusteable positive or negative pressure to the surface.

I tried to switch to mesh and use kangaroo2 but it does not work, when i apply pressure the meshes does not react

my first goal would be to use get a surface but i can also use meshes , any idea on how to solve it?..thanks

Hi . You have to make springs out of the mesh edges . Also your pressure value is high so the mesh will burst , so you should decrease it . Like this :

hi Ali and thank You very much for your support

I have to be honest , i didn’t think about controlling the mesh edges lenght but it all make sense now , if no lenght control is applied the mesh edges are ( correct me if i am wrong ) allowed to extend their lenght to infinite…is that correct ?

thanks again

Your welcome .And please mark my post as a solution .

Yes that’s somehow true , If you use Pressurebut do not use something like EdgeLengths or Length , then the mesh has no resistance to stretching .
