Incorrect Selection in App

I recently posted and received a Solution from @edsahergom around a snapping issue I was having in a modified definition. Cabinets Webinar - Snap Adjusted Boxes

I have found a new error I cannot seem to fix… While the snapping works (for the most part), When I add multiple parts and attempt to select one to change its length, the first part / unit is always selected. See gif below:
