I try to move an brep down by 4625mm. When I measure the top and bottom of my brep after the translation, the top part moved down 4625 perfectly, but the bottom part moved down 4625.00111881mm. This is physically impossible! Can anybody explain why this happens (something similar happend before) and what I can do about it?
Hi Sven- can you post here, or send me via private message, the object before translation?
thanks,
-Pascal
Hi Sven- here are the coordinates of the bottommost points on the object before and after moving:
Before:
Point in world coordinates = 899.9999329,-19.3139515,4624.9980469
After:
Point in world coordinates = 899.9999329,-19.3139515,-0.0019531
and the topmost points:
Before:
Point in world coordinates = 899.9999329,-19.3139515,5999.9990234
After
Point in world coordinates = 899.9999329,-19.3139515,1374.9990234
In each case, if I’m not mistaken, the Z coordinate is different by 4625… ?
I used BoundingBox to locate the top and bottom limits of the object. Does that make sense with what you see?
-Pascal
Thats extra weird; my boundingbox shows the ‘right’ values:
I would guess Your file tolerances are bigger than 0.001 and the Object Info box shows the rounded values.
Just a thought.

Thanks for your reply, but that’s not the case. Here is the location of the translated object:
