I’m using the section tool. The preview image is correct, but when I print (vector mode), many hidden lines appear in the print. This makes it impossible to use on big drawings. Why is it so difficult to export drawings from Rhino 8? How is it possible for Rhino to show the right layout image and print something different and wrong?
I take it that you mean the display mode in the detail on the layout?
Note that shaded modes will not export vector details. To get vector output from any viewport, you need that to be in either Wireframe or any of the technical display modes, such as Monochrome.

I’m doing some tests after I have reset Rhino.
Image 1: I’ve created a simple section with the section tool;
Image 2: I’ve created a layout page with the 2d section inside and with the display view set to WIREFRAME (the mysterious line reappearing);
Image 3: This is what I see on the Preview page (nothing).
My mistake caused the issue with the nothing view in the preview. I did not print the locked objects; the section tools objects are on locked layers by default.
Regarding the mysterious line, it’s an error of the section tool that keeps that line instead of deleting it. The wrong lines are multiple within the project
I’ve found a workaround using the grey hatch to cover it (and the other wrong lines kept by the section tool), but I must rearrange the background curves from the section tool on the back to be covered by the hatch. By default, the background curves created by the section tools should be in the background for me (in nome omen).
I link the two PDFs I’ve created.
I hope to be clear; I think this is a critical point to solve,
thanks,
Roy
