Importing DXF Question

I am wondering if there is a way to import a DXF into a template, rather than by model units and layout units. I have Rhino 7 on Windows

What do you mean with template? Do you want to import it into a layout?

A majority of my work is in .0001" with Annotation scale set to 2 instead of 10
The defaults for these are not what I want, and I created a template to use when creating a new file.

If there is a way to set Rhino Defaults, I’d rather do that, or have opening a DXF give me options of which template to choose. I found the answer here:
