Imported .STEP not showing textures/materials

After importing/opening the .STEP model from:

Setting the view to Render shows just gray color shadings. I tried the suggestion from another post (Textures on Imported Objects Not Showing) but even after exploding the block I still see no textures, no materials, in the properties panels.

I believe that is expected.
Rhino assigns color to the objects imported through AP214 STEP but not rendering materials.

Is this critical to your needs?
