Try the V-Ray command, ‘Pack Scene.’ It will make a zip file with the 3d model and all of the texture maps together, no matter where the texture maps were located originally. This may do the trick for your proxy.

I am having same problem. I could not find ‘Pack Scene’. I found ‘Pack Project’ which produces a zip file with sketchup model inside.
Could you please tell me how to use online furniture models into rhino with original materials. I am finding very hard to product good quality materials by doing it manually in Rhino.
